On social media, video surfaced of a Venezuelan drug trafficker known as “Taliban” being tied to an anchor and thrown overboard into the ocean by the cartel he worked for, punishment for his theft of 450 pounds of cocaine and an unknown amount of cash.
In the video, “Taliban”, also known as Reinaldo Fuentes, 68, is bound in the back of a boat. As his killers reach an area of the Caribbean Sea they feel is suitable to the purpose, they lift him, struggling with the weight to cast him into the deep.
Fuentes was allegedly a middleman for the Venezuelan Clan del Cartel when he absconded with a shipment of cocaine worth $10 million and narrated an elaborate ruse - a fake coast guard chase at sea - to explain his not bringing either the drugs or the drug money back with him to the cartel.
